  • New Zealand – Taxation

    15% Goods and Service Tax (GST) on all boats sold in NZ. Visiting overseas boats are exempt from duty and tax for a 24 month visit. Goods and Services provided for fixing to visiting overseas boats are exempt from the 15 % GST.Superyachts can charter in NZ for up to 65% of the total time they are visiting NZ

  • United Kingdom – Taxation

  • Poland – Taxation

    VAT 23% is compulsory on all new products and commercial services. Short-term rental of a yacht is subject to VAT in the country where the means of transport at the time of acquisition of real control by the user.

  • Italy – Taxation

    VAT Rate is generally 22%. If a boat is purchased with a leasing contract VAT is lowered as follows: 6,6% Powerboats/Sailingboats Lh> 24m; 8,8% Sailingboats between 20.01m and 24m and Powerboats between 16.01m and 24m Lh; 11% Sailingboats between 10.01m and 20m and Powerboats between 12.01m and 16m Lh; 13,2% Sailingboats up to 10m Lh and Powerboats between 7.51m and 12m Lh; 19,8% Powerboats up to 7.50m m Lh; 22% Boats in category D. The Italian law provide exemption of VAT form commercial yacht registered in Italy engaged on charter contract. No usage tax. A tax for transfer of property is due in proportion to the length of the boat.

  • USA – Taxation

  • Japan – Taxation

    A 10% consumption tax is imposed on every product from Oct.1st, 2019.

  • Estonia – Taxation

    No deviations. Only VAT at 20% on all new goods and services or utility boats sold by VTA obliged bodies

  • Singapore – Taxation

    Nil. Only 8% GST applies. There is no luxury goods tax
