  • United Kingdom – Registration

    INLAND – Many inland waterway navigation authorities require boat registration. These include the Canal & River Trust (Canals), Scottish Canals, Environment Agency (River Thames, Medway) and the Broads Authority (Norfolk Broads).     COASTAL – There is no mandatory boat registration for leisure craft operating on the coast, however Harbour Authorities will often charge “Harbour Dues or “Visitor Dues” for leisure craft entering their area of jurisdiction.   • Poland – Registration

    There is no duty to registration inland sailboats length up to 12 m or inland motorboats with engine power of 15 kW and the units powered solely by human muscle used exclusively for sport or recreation. Vessels exempted from registration may be registered at the request of the owner.

  • USA – Registration

In order for a boat to be registered, the boat manufacturer or importer must provide the purchaser with a Certificate of Origin.   • Italy – Registration

    Registration is compulsory for boats over 10 m in length. On a voluntary basis, boats up to Lh 10 m can be registered. Charter yacht with length of the hull over 24 meters can be enrolled in the International Register, (Marine Merchants Register).

  • Japan – Registration

    Under the Domestic Law, the pleasure boats and ships of less than 20 gross tons are required to register the type of ships, port of registry, size, hull identification number, etc.

  • Singapore – Registration

  • Estonia – Registration

    Recreational craft (watercraft with an overall length of 2.5 to 24 metres) and ships (watercraft watercraft with an overall lenght 2.5 to 12 meters used for economic activities, performing state administrative duties or vocational training) shall be registered in the traffic register or ship register.
