Mr Tom Webb was elected Honorary Member on 19 March 1980 and remained one of only four elected to that position to this day. He was Secretary and later Director General of the British Marine Federation’s forerunners from 1950 until his retirement in 1986. He oversaw the great expansion of the industry over this period and was a participant in all the key UK and international initiatives in those years. A true visionary for our industry and giant of his times. We mourn his passing and give thanks for his life of service to our recreational marine industry.
