Israeli Marine Innovation Association joins ICOMIA

ICOMIA welcomes the Israeli Marine Innovation Association to ICOMIA as a full member – bringing the number of marine industry association members up to 38.
The International Council of Marine Industry Associations – ICOMIA – is the international trade association representing the global marine industry since 1966. ICOMIA brings together marine industry associations from across the world in one global organisation and represents them at an international level, presenting a strong and united voice when dealing with issues challenging the industry. Today ICOMIA welcomes The Israeli Marine Innovation Association as a member. The Israeli MIA brings together innovative companies, industry influencers, and municipal developers that are shaping the future of the Israeli and global Maritime industry.
The Israeli MIA was founded by Shabtai Levi and Idan Cohen. They made a decision to turn their passion for the maritime industry into a commitment to the Israeli and global communities. Their unique combination of backgrounds represents the Israeli maritime industry as a whole and brings together decades of military and marine experience with the Israeli culture of cutting-edge technologies and innovation.
Idan Cohen says: “The Israeli Marine Innovation Association is thrilled to mark this historic day for the Israeli maritime industry. Israel is a coastal country, and the sea is part of its history and its culture. Due to its size and location, it faces a lot of challenges, and it has the innovation capabilities to develop groundbreaking solutions wherever they are needed.
We are certain that the exchange of ideas and collaborations within the ICOMIA community will disrupt the industry and tackle the challenges it faces around the globe and are looking forward to learning from other members and sharing the Israeli insights for the industry.
