ICOMIA was honoured to be part of the celebrations of Boating Sanya which was held 5-8 December 2024 at the Sanya International Yachting Centre in Hainan, China.
Su Lin Cheah, Regional Representative APAC, was privileged to share a global perspective on the industry today and updates on ICOMIA’s work. Su Lin also made an address at the event’s Industry Forum themed “Expansion of China Yacht Brands”, which featured a presentation by Allen Leng, founder of Heysea Yachts.
The forum concluded with a roundtable discussion by Chinese industry professionals, moderated by Samuel Xu on the opportunities and challenges of creating awareness and building the high-end yachting market in China. Boating Sanya was organised by ICOMIA Member, Hainan Marine Trade Exchange Services (HMTES) under the auspices of the Hainan Provincial Government and City of Sanya. The event showcased 200 boats and yachts comprising brands from China and around the world. ICOMIA is delighted to support Hainan’s leadership and their journey to develop Hainan to its full potential as one of China’s premier boating markets.
