ICOMIA publishes Global Conformity Guideline No 3 – Electrical

The purpose of these Guidelines is to assist boatbuilders initially in either the USA or Europe who export across the Atlantic and then have to conform to standards other than those that they normally use. The guidelines follow a standard format with two supporting annexes. Annex A.1 ABYC + ISO additional requirements = ISO compliance Annex A.2 ISO + ABYC additional requirements = ABYC & USCG compliance Guideline No 1 covers Installed Fuel Systems and Fixed Fuel Tanks and Guideline No 2 covers LPG Systems and Appliances. Guideline No 3 covers Electrical Standards. These guidelines may be downloaded from Technical Info section on the ICOMIA website. This initiative has involved ICOMIA, ABYC, BMF and NMMA with additional support from IMCI and Rulefinder. Differences with other national standards will also be addressed in due course.
