Boat shows are the natural meeting place for our industry and ICOMIA takes every opportunity to attend and catch up with as many members as possible.
The Monaco Yacht Show is a key fixture on our calendar because we use it to host our annual meeting of the ICOMIA Superyacht Refit Group. The Superyacht Refit Group is a group of the leading refit and rebuild yards from this crucial, and growing sector of the leisure marine industry. The focus of this years meeting was around the sustainability strategies that each yard is developing, and how by using ICOMIA as a platform for collaboration, we can share best practise and support one another with these initiatives.
We had an important update from our Chemicals Expert Albert Willemsen, his updates give our members the latest advice about new and existing regulations, as well as emerging developments related to the use of potentially dangerous chemicals and how we can manage or replace their use.
Thanks to Robert from the Water Revolution Foundation for presenting their industry leading sustainability initiatives and to the team from METSTRADE for providing an insight into their plans for the Superyacht Forum for this year’s show and next.
Thanks to our friends at SYBAss for hosting their now traditional pre-event dinner and for gathering together an impressive cohort of industry leaders and also thanks to Lusben and Volvo Penta for their generous hospitality throughout.
As always, the Monaco Yacht Show features the best opportunities for us to meet with our members and potential members too, and we welcome the unique insight the show gives us to the industry.
