The Irish Marine Federation is established within the Irish Business and Employers Confederation (IBEC), which provides the secretariat from its Dublin office. Member companies of the IMF are engaged in the building of leisure and fishing craft, yacht charter and inland cruising, sail training schools, chandlery and the supply of engines and electronic equipment. The aims and policy objectives of the Federation are: * to promote the interests of all sectors of the marine industry and to encourage its growth and development; * to represent the interests of the industry to Government, State Agencies and European Institutions, thereby influencing public policies; * to promote the image of the industry through the organisation of Boat Shows, public statements and quality awareness; * to provide advice, information and services to members in order to assist in achieving these objectives; * to liaise with other sectoral organisations and industry groupings. The next Irish Marine Federation Boat Show will be held in Dublin (date to be confirmed).
