In the fifth episode of the ICOMIA podcast we meet Ulrich Manigel of IMCI, one of ICOMIA’s sustaining members and an independent non-profit organisation which is involved in the certification of the marine industry.

IMCI is the leader in the field of certification of the recreational marine industry. They are involved in the certification of all areas of recreational boat manufacturing and components.

Ben asked Ulrich about challenges that they might be facing especially in view of new technology hitting the market at speed, especially the use of electrical propulsion and the radically different technology of foiling.

IMCI works closely with both ICOMIA and EBI (European Boating Industry) to ensure that all standards are met and kept up to date.
