ICOMIA Superyacht Applicators Group welcomes THRAKI Yacht Painting GMBH

ICOMIA welcomes Thraki Yacht Painting GMBH to the Superyacht Applicators Group. They join fellow members Storm Yacht SRL, ACA Marine, Klaver Yachtpainting BV, Bonsink Yachtpainters BV, De Koning Marine Service BV and Superyacht Solutions.
Thraki Yacht Painting GmbH, with headquarters in Northern Germany has been involved in several new builds and repaints of exclusive large yachts. They boast at being among the few paint specialists in Europe who are able to deliver paint jobs to Superyacht standards on high volume projects. As a result, the Thraki team has recently been rewarded with a repaint contract on a 100m+ vessel.
Their continuous growth is due to a determination to invest in skilled personnel and training and by creating a solid “Team Work” philosophy at Thraki.
Managing the high expectations of owners is the key in the coatings industry. This, they believe, can be achieved through transparent communication and applying strict control on the painting process with on-site presence. Bringing a surface to high gloss level requires tens of thousands of man-hours. Managing this long process in close collaboration with the Yard and Owners teams enables Thraki to create beautiful high-spec paint jobs.
The Superyacht Coatings Applicator Group seeks to maintain and improve quality within the Group, follow professional working standards and meet specified environmental best practices. The Group acts as the voice of this segment within the industry. The interests of SY Applicator Companies within the Superyacht Industry (globally) are represented at an international decision-making level through the Applicators Group. They are also informed and updated of all applicable legislation and regulations that need compliance. The Applicators Group also serves as a forum between yards where issues can be raised and discussed.
