ICOMIA’s Statistics Committee coordinates the collection of international marine industry statistics. It seeks to improve the accuracy and breadth of national statistics and supervises the publication of the annual ICOMIA Recreational Boating Industry Statistics.
ICOMIA’s Marine Industry Associations (MIAs) have provided a snapshot overview of their industry for the past 6 months – 1 July 2014 to 31 December 2014 – compared to the same period of the previous year – 1 July 2013 to 31 December 2013. Although no quantifiable data is gathered; the survey acts as a barometer to indicate recent economic trends in the global recreational boating industry. It also gives an indication of the economic outlook for the coming year, from the perspective of each MIA.
