ICOMIA and European Boatbuilder Magazine hosted the popular ‘Workshop on New Technologies’ for the second year on 17 November during METS. The workshop once again turned out to be a success with a record-breaking number of registrations for the limited seats.
“I was very pleased how ‘Workshop on New Technologies’ went during METS and the audience gave us excellent feedback, said Udo Kleinitz, ICOMIA’s Technical Manager.
“The positive response confirms the need to provide this service to our industry.”
`Workshop on New Technologies’ focused on making production more efficient by using technology that is available for implementation today and addressed issues from modern adhesives and fuel systems to future boat design and power storage.
New for this year was a networking opportunity
that allowed attendees to meet the industry and make new business connections.
ICOMIA would like to take this opportunity to thank the expert speakers at ‘Workshop on New Technologies’; John Adey (ABYC), Adrie Kwakernaak (TU Delft), Francois Mathieu (Dassault Systemes), Japec Jakopin (J&J Design), Chris van der Hor (NZMI Scheme), Ken Wittamore (HYMAR), Marc Persoon (MASTERVOLT), James Grazebrook (Halyard) and Charlie Barefoot (Dometic).
