YATED –  Turkish Yacht and Boat Industry Association – was founded on 14 February 2000 in Istanbul by the Turkish manufacturers, importers, retailers and distributors of sailboats, motor boats, marine engines, marine equipment and accessories as well as service providers to the sector with the name of DENTUR. As of February 2020, the number of Corporate members is 251.

The aims and objectives are: – to gather the members of the industry under an organization; – to outline the problems of the recreational boating industry and the marine tourism sector; – to contact and exchange information with the related government bodies to solve marine industry problems; – to set forth the standards for the industry members and assist them achieve these standards; – to overcome obstacles of trade hindering the development of the marine market in Turkey and the relevant international trade; – to promote recreational boating and to develop the love of the sea among the Turkish people, especially to younger generations.

YATED has been supporting both the main national boat show -namely the Istanbul International EuroAsia Boatshow- and also the smaller regional shows organized in Turkish coastal regions. YATED`s vision is that our country will reach its well-deserved place in marine tourism and the recreational boat industry, paving the way to make Turkish people highly aware of marine potentials surrounding them.

YATED also aims the Turkish yachting and boating industry and the related services to reach top international standards. It also aims to conserve the coasts and seas of our country in the best effective, efficient and environment-conscious way, which are an exceptional heritage to next generations.
